"Ever since he can remember, Specialist Ryad "Jackal" Ramirez Al-Hassar has been nocturnal. Ramírez is at risk of developing acute symptoms such as muscular weariness, hallucinations and/or double vision. With the encouragement of Harry Pandey to live life for himself, Ramírez became a frequent lecturer and part-time instructor at the CNP academy. He also began to work closely with Rainbow R&D Director and fellow GEO operative, Elena María "Mira" Álvarez. In 2017, Ramírez was transferred to Rainbow and formed deep relationships with many of his fellow Operators. This is due to the fact that Ramírez internalized the belief that he lost everything when he failed to follow the man who killed his brother.

This resulted in a serious case of insomnia and caused him to become ill-equipped to cope with letting a target go free. He continued to investigate his brother's death but grew guilty for leaving his job at the CNP without solving it first. During his time with the GEO, Ramírez was regularly tasked with tracking down HVTs and intercepting narcotics shipments. Ramírez joined the Grupo Especial de Operaciones (GEO) to further hone his skills on the field. His dogged determination and broad resourcefulness in difficult terrains resolved a number of criminal investigations. Ramírez stood out as a quick learner with exceptional lateral thinking. He excelled at the academy with the help of his mentor and passed the mandatory ESO (Secondary studies) and became a CNP (Cuerpo Nacional de Policía). When he turned 18, Ramírez decided to join the Policía Nacional. After that night, Ramírez was guided through the tragedy by a sympathetic police officer who solidified his resolve to find his brother's murderer and unravel the events that lead to his death. With no witness, no murder weapon, and no clear motive, the local authorities treated Faisal’s death as an inconclusive case of street violence. Law Enforcement found Ramírez next to his brother's lifeless body, requiring urgent medical attention. Tragedy struck on October 8th, 1985 when his brother was murdered in an abandoned house in El Principe Alfonso. A few years later, Ramírez was taken out of the foster care system by his older brother who had become old enough to become his legal guardian. His focus was somewhere else entirely, as he was shifted from one dysfunctional family to the next.
